READ-AROUND CELEBRATIONS!

Twice Yearly!  Fall and Spring.

Join us as we broaden the circle to include friends, colleagues, family and other writers who might be interested in learning more about Women Writing for (a) Change. Once per semester we invite other women to hear our writing in a more public context. This is a perfect opportunity for those interested in an experience of the class and receiving the power of women’s words. Refreshments served.

LOCATION: FRIENDS MEETING HOUSE on Moore’s Pike near the corner of Smith Road and Moore’s Pike.

MONTHLY BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP:

3rd Thursdays of each month.  Brown Bag Lunch 11:30am-1:00pm

Welcomes any woman interested in books and focused book discussion.  No need to have participated in writing circles in the past.

September 15 th   – SONG YET SUNG       by James McBride (FWI - An Evening with James McBride begins   with a FREE TALK at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater, Saturday, November 12 at 7 p.m. and is followed by an after-hours Meet-the-Author reception with live jazz, champagne, and hors d'oeuvres in the Monroe County Public Library atrium.)  

October 22 th   – FINN    by Jon Clinch

November 17 th   – The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson (NOTE: This comes out in paperback on October 4 th )
