Read-Arounds and Special Events

READ-AROUND CELEBRATIONS!

Twice Yearly!  Fall and Spring.

Join us as we broaden the circle to include friends, colleagues, family and other writers who might be interested in learning more about Women Writing for (a) Change. Once per semester we invite other women to hear our writing in a more public context. This is a perfect opportunity for those interested in an experience of the class and receiving the power of women’s words. Refreshments served.
LOCATION: FRIENDS MEETING HOUSE on Moore’s Pike near the corner of Smith Road and Moore’s Pike.

SECOND ANNUAL POETRY TEA

Sunday, May 16th from 3-5.

We’ll gather at the Poplar Grove Schoolhouse to hear some of our favorite in-house poets read their own works, and we’ll enjoy each other’s company over a cup of tea and light refreshments. This year’s added bonus will be tea leaf readings in the fire room! Cost is $25 and all proceeds go toward our scholarship fund. Please join us for an afternoon of poetry, friendship and a hot cup of tea. Contact Stephanie to reserve a space.
