Consultations and Outreach

Group Consultation and Facilitation Services

We offer group consultations and non-profit partnerships as an extension of our outreach services. Organizations who wish to use writing as a tool for change can benefit from a facilitated approach and a unique process to engage people in the questions of their lives and the life of their organizations. Writing in a safe, professionally facilitated circle connects groups with questions common to the group. Each writing circle can be adapted to a multitude of settings to bring about personal and group clarity and creative inspiration.

Whether you wish to use a writing circle to lead your organization in new directions or help your consumers or staff gain deeper understanding of themselves and their gifts, Women Writing for (a) Change has much to offer.

Private Writing Consultations

For those who want in-depth feedback for their writing, we offer private consultations in a safe and supportive atmosphere. One prior semester of the writing class is a pre-requisite for this service. For rates and further information, please E-mail Beth.

OUTREACH

In 2006, the Bloomington WWf(a)C Project expanded to collaborate with New Leaf/New Life, a local non-profit dedicated to the enrichment and education of people incarcerated at the Monroe County Corrections Center. Our service to the women of MCCC has since evolved into community outreach to Amethyst House, a transition program for women moving from addiction to sobriety.

In 2009 members of our outreach team will begin a community-based outreach at the Monroe County Library, for women transitioning from jail to life back in the community.
