Course Offerings:
Writing Circles and Workshops are designed to provide a safe and supportive space for women who want to explore their writing voice. Participants are encouraged to tell their stories in whatever written form they wish to pursue, whether it is fiction, poetry, journal, essay, or drama.

Class Description:
A typical core class may include up to 16 students, and courses run for 13 weeks (NEW!). Classes last for two and a half hours each week, and are planned to provide time, space and skilled facilitation to:
• Create a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.
• Provide respectful and helpful feedback on writing in large and small groups.
• Discuss readings of essays, stories, poems, and creative non-fiction by participants.
• Encourage on-going writing practice.

Project Class : Class requires 8 participants whose needs match description below.
THIS CLASS WILL BEGIN THE WEEK February 7,2012 if we can reach critical mass.
MEETS EVERY OTHER TUESDAY, until May 1, 5:30-8:00 PM
Do you have a body of work in prose or poetry that needs the focus of more intensive craft and revision assistance? The project class will offer time devoted to each woman’s work with a focus on moving pieces toward completion.
Class size limit = 12 Minimum Required = 8
Cost: $270.00 - represents materials and preparation for this more intensive class.
This is not a drop-in craft class. You are asked to commit to the group and the class for the full six sessions and should probably not sign up if you anticipate missing more than one classes.
IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ:
Please inquire about this class in advance, and fill out a brief application to assist Beth with appropriate small group placement. You must have completed at least one semester of the core WWf(a)C classes or have attended other WW workshops or retreats to be eligible. Writers considering this option must have a minimum of 20 typed pages of manuscript to begin working within this context. All genre are acceptable. Writers must have some confidence in their listening and supportive feedback skills whether they have been schooled in “craft” or not. Writers are asked to respect and uphold the basic practices and principles of WWf(a)C and apply them in a rigorous way as we step up the rigor of supporting one another’s efforts to move pieces to completion.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
All classes require registration in advance due to space limitations; a nonrefundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your space. Classes fill on a first-come-first served basis. You will be contacted about the status of your registration within a week after it is received. Balances will be due on the first day of class unless we have discussed scholarship or payment plans in advance.
